A city car (or urban car) is a term for a car intended for use primarily in an urban area.
City cars are sold worldwide and most automotive industry manufacturers have one or two in their line-up. In North-America city cars have are often referred to simply as \"subcompact\" alongside the superminis. In Japan the kei car is a similar concept, although a kei car must be very small in physical dimensions and engine capacity; for city cars the definition is imprecise.
